Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani starrer Bhool Bhulaiya 2 shoot delayed as team awaits vaccination

Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiya 2 has yet again made it to the headlines for the delay in its release. As reported earlier, the film was put on hold indefinitely as the film’s leading lady - Tabu refused to shoot until the pandemic is over.

Now, a recent Pinkvilla report suggests that the film’s shoot has now been postponed to November and due to this delay, the film’s lead actor Kartik Aaryan will finishing off his four films in between. 

If we are to go by the reports, a major chunk of the film has been shot and now, some portions of the film is yet to be shot. The film’s lead actor Kartik Aaryan will continue working for another film -  Dhamaaka and he will be back to work on the Bhool Bhulaiyaa sequel. 

The Pinkvilla report quoted a source revealing the constant delay in the shoot of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and said, “The film was first planned to be shot in November last year, however, Kartik was sceptical on travelling outdoors and hence, it was called off. Since then, the makers were trying to take the film on floors in January, however, Tabu, who plays a pivotal role in the film, showed her reservations on shooting the film due to the Covid fear after someone close to her got exposed to the virus.” 

The source further added, “The actress has informed the team about her decision to shoot only after getting vaccinated. She is expecting even the crew to be vaccinated to avoid the spread of the virus. Since there is no clarity on the vaccination drive reaching out to everyone, the team decided to postpone the schedule and chalk out a plan only once the matching dates are available in the latter half of the year.”

For the uninitiated, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a sequel to the 2007 hit comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa which saw Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles.

The sequel will also star Tabu and the film was all set to release on July 31, 2021. As of now, no release date has been announced considering the on-going situation and it might even extend till 2022.
