This Friday, the remake of the 2020 Telugu smash "Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo," - "Shehzada," starring Kartik Aaryan, will be releasing in theatres. The movie will face off against Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan," which has been having a spectacular run at the box office.

Speaking about the immense success of ‘Pathaan’, Kartik Aaryan said at a recent press conference that he thinks they made a good film, and automatically when the audience will watch the film if they will like our movie and there is nothing like being overshadowed. He further said it is a good thing that Pathaan has done wonderfully well, that is good for industry. The film achieved historic figures and that will inspire audiences to go to theatres more.

For the unversed, the makers of ‘Shehzada’ had postponed the film’s release date by a week, in order to avoid the wave of ‘Pathaan’. According to a report from ETimes, Shehzada's producer Aman Gill agreed to the same and said they have postponed the film as Kartik has immense respect for Shah Rukh and they all love him. Hence they decided that it would be best for their film if it will come after a week.

Kartik responded to the rumours that Hindi movies were simply adaptations and remakes by saying, that the remake of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was done in South. The original film Pyaar Ka Punchnama served as a model for the South Asian producers' adaptations. There are further instances. Additionally, South Asia has a huge market for various Hindi authors and stories.

Talking about Shehzada, the film directed by Rohit Dhawan, also stars Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, and Kriti Sanon in pivotal roles.
