Kartik Aaryan on comparisons with Akshay Kumar in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

On Tuesday, the trailer for the much-anticipated horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu, was finally unveiled. The film is a stand-alone sequel to Priyadarshan's 2007 horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Akshay Kumar, Shiney Ahuja, and Vidya Balan. 

Now, at the trailer premiere event, the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor has spoken up about comparisons to Akshay Kumar.

Kartik said, "I can't make a comparison because it's an impossible shoe to fill. I fell in love with him (Akshay Kumar) in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1 and grew up idolizing him. It's best not to make comparisons; I like his work as an actor. We tried our hardest to do things our way. But this is a brand-new picture with a lot of fresh ideas. I'm hoping that everybody would enjoy it in his own way. There will be comparisons, but I hope Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is remembered as a fresh picture."

Meanwhile, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra, Amar Upadhyay, Milind Gunaji, and Rajesh Kumar also play significant parts in the film. Anees Bazmee has directed the film, which is produced by T-Series and Cine 1 Studios' Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Anjum Khetani, and Krishan Kumar. The film is set to premiere on May 20, 2022.

Apart from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik will next be seen in Shehzada, a Hindi version of the Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo starring Kriti Sanon, Freddy starring Alaya F, Hansal Mehta's social drama Captain India, and Sajid Nadiadwala's romance Satyanarayan Ki Katha.
