When it comes to voicing ones opinion, Kareena Kapoor Khan is very clear. She says that things need to be spoken of when they are of utmost importance. The recent #MeToo movement in India has brought forth many faces of people in the Bollywood industry. Countless allegations were made and many of them were reported with the Police too.
Yesterday, Kareena Kapoor Khan attended the launch of her Radio show and there she was asked her take on #MeToo. She said,"The fact that so many women have come out and spoken is a start. Earlier people have not spoken for years and today people have come out and I really really appreciate the women who had the courage to stand up and talk and that is going to help all of us change our workplace and give us security. And whoever it is, big or small, there is no place (for them), it has to be safe. It doesn't matter if you are the biggest superstar or the smallest, but women have to be secure and the most important thing is that we have to keep the momentum going. We have to keep the conversation alive and once we keep that alive, a lot will change."
Kareena very clearly lauded the women who have been victims in the past but have now gathered the courage to come forward and speak about it. When asked about taking a stand on sexual harassment, she continued,"Ofcourse, we are doing that, a lot has been assessed and a lot of stand has been taken. I am sure legal course is also being taken."
