Kareena Kapoor Auditioned First time in her Career for Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, hubby Saif told her ‘There is nothing wrong’

The style sensation and super mom, Kareena Kapoor Khan, is a boss lady in every sense. She has never failed to impress her fans and some of her most iconic performances, Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Geet from Jab We Met, to name a few continue to be one of the crowd favorites even today. However, the actress had never auditioned for a role until now, when recently she did it for an Aamir Khan film.

In a recent interview with Rajeev Masand, Kareena revealed that she had to audition, for the first time ever in her career, for her part in Laal Singh Chaddha. She will be seen alongside Aamir Khan in this remake of Hollywood hit Forrest Gump. 

“Because knowing the way that he is, I think he wanted to be like 100% sure. So very randomly, out of the blue, I got a call from Aamir. ‘I want you to hear this film, this and that and I am very excited about it.’ So it just happened very organically. I heard the script like just then the minute he called me and he was just like let’s read some scenes. I want you to read some scenes. So I was like yeah, I have never done anything like this. I thought like what the hell. I want to see myself if I want to do this or not and you know there is nothing wrong in that,” Hindustan Times quoted Kareena as saying.

Further, Bebo revealed how she had never auditioned for a film before, and it was her husband Saif who supported her and told her that there is nothing wrong with it. “But you know what, I think the times are changing and if I don’t evolve and I behave like I am some diva or this is beyond me...And Saif was the one who told me,’ What's wrong with you? Even an Al Pacino would test for the part. There is nothing wrong, we all have to be sure as actors and artists.’

Directed by Advait Chandan, Lal Singh Chaddha is an adaptation of Hollywood film Forrest Gump, and while Aamir will play Tom Hanks’ iconic character, Kareena will play Robin Wright’s character from the film.

Fans have witnessed the pairing of Kareena and Aamir Khan in films like 3 Idiots and Talaash, and the duo is reuniting on screen after seven years, so the film has already started to create a buzz among fans.
