Karan Johar confirms Abhishek Varman's next film's release date

Director Karan Johar in collaboration with Fox star studios and Sajid Nadiadwala's company has blocked the date of Good Friday, April 19^th, 2019 for Abhishek Varman's next. Abhishek had previously directed the south meets north love story, 2 States.

Here's the official announcement:

Abhishek's upcoming film is tentatively titled 'Shiddat' and it's his second directorial debut after 2 States. Alia Bhatt and Abhishek will be working again for the second time and it will be Alia's fourth outing with Dharma Productions. She is reported to romance her favourite Judwa actor Varun Dhawan in Shiddat. The couple has sizzled with their on-screen chemistry in films like Student of the Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania.

Not just Varun, but Alia will also be seen romancing Aditya Roy Kapur. The story is speculated to be a love triangle between the three where Varun and Aditya will be playing brothers.

The film also reportedly stars Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi in supporting roles. However, Karan also tweeted that the speculations about thefilm floating around are false and he will announce the cast soon in an official manner.
