Kangana Ranaut has a wide trajectory of films to her name in the course of a fifteen long year career span. Having delivered a fine performance in films like Fashion, Tanu Weds Manu, Queen, Manikarnika among others, the actress has made a remarkable place for herself in the movie business.
On Saturday, Kangana responded to a question asking her about the most satisfactory character she has played so far. The actress stated that it was the film ‘Queen’ as she related to the character.
“Queen resonated with me a lot because at that point in my life I was going through similar circumstances hence it became cathartic, during Thalaivi reel and real started to blend in an uncanny/eerie way this too became very satisfactory #Thalaivi”, Kangana wrote on Twitter.
Kangana was awarded the National Film Award for Best Actress for Queen (2014), and has three more National Awards to her credit.
Currently, Kangana is gearing up for the release of her film Thalaivi. The film is a biopic of late former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa and stars Kangana Ranaut in the titular role. Directed by A.L. Vijay, the film also stars Arvind Swami as MG Ramachandran, Prakash Raj as M Karunanidhi, Jisshu Sengupta as Sobhan Babu and Bhagyashree as Jayalalithaa’s mother Sandhya.
Thalaivi releases on April 23, 2021.
