Kalki Koechlin Addresses Old Dating Rumors with Farhan Akhtar

Kalki Koechlin recently spoke about being linked with her co-star Farhan Akhtar in the past. This happened long before they worked together on Zoya Akhtar's hit film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Sharing the story in an interview with Mashable, Kalki laughed about the rumors and recalled Farhan's witty reaction.

“You know the history we have? There was a whole time when the tabloids had picked up some story that we were together, that me and Farhan were together. They were putting all the articles about it. So one day, Farhan called me and said, ‘Listen, before we move in together, we should at least agree on the colour of the walls no? So it was a funny, funny time. Just to let you know, don’t take the tabloids too seriously,” said Kalki.

Kalki and Farhan's professional collaboration began with Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, where Kalki played Abhay Deol’s fiancée, while Farhan was one of the three lead characters. Farhan co-produced the movie under his banner Excel Entertainment, which also backed Kalki's other projects, including Gully Boy, Made in Heaven, and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.

On the personal front, Kalki was earlier married to filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. The couple tied the knot in 2011 but separated two years later. Kalki is now with Israeli musician Guy Hershberg, and they have a daughter, Sappho, born in 2020. Kalki will soon appear in the films Emma and Angel.

Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar was previously married to hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani. They have two daughters, Shakya and Akira. Farhan later married actor Shibani Dandekar in 2022. On the work front, Farhan will star in the war drama 120 Bahadur and will return to direction with Don 3.
