‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’ is my all-time favorite; would love to remake it: Sandiip Sikcand

Sandiip Sikcand is a known name in the TV industry. The ace producer is known to deliver many popular projects like ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’, ‘Mehndi Hai Rachne Wali’ among others. Currently, he has shows like ‘Chashni’ and ‘Lag Ja Gale’ airing on different channels and is quite accepted by the viewers.

India Forums got in touch with Sandiip Sikcand and quizzed him about his favourite show that he has produced. He said, “I work on all my shows diligently so, yes, my heart lies in all of them, but if you ask me which one has been my favourite show then it has to be ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’. I still watch this show, whenever I get time. I feel it was a very intelligent show with great story writing. I would love to remake it."

When asked who out of the new lot you feel exudes immense acting prowess and potential, he said, “I feel a current lot of actors are good but the ones we had earlier were the best. The new lot has a lot of promise but I feel they need to understand the nuances better. It is not just about looking good and acting well it is about understanding the craft too. I think the actors also need to be given more scope for showing their acting prowess with experimental good content."

We asked the super producer about his alternate profession, if not a producer, he said “I think acting is my passion, it is not an alternate to anything but a simultaneous profession of wanting to produce and act as well.”
