With every passing day Jiah Khan's case is getting more and more complicated as new shocking details are coming to light. It's been three years now, yet, the case is unsolved! But now, the case has taken a new turn after as a 'missing dupatta' was found after three years at Forensic Science Lab, Kalina.
According to the report in popular tabloid, the 'dupatta' wasn't collected by the investigation team till Jiah's mother quizzed about the same and brought it into light!
The Senior Inspector of BKC police station, Kalpana Gadekar, was quoted saying, "Usually, we do not submit the exhibits received from the crime scene until the trial begins, and in the Jiah Khan case, the trial had been stayed by the Bombay High Court, so there was no reason for us to submit the exhibits." (sic)
Regarding the issue, Jiah's lawyer Swapnil Ambure said, "Our contention is that the CBI did not submit the dupatta for examination to the expert committee at Chandigarh and therefore the committee could not come to a conclusion without examining it." (sic)
To that CBI was quoted saying, "We had been writing to the FSL, Kalina, asking them to submit all the exhibits, including the dupatta, but they never responded to us." (sic)
"The Chandigarh team could not come to a conclusion without examining the dupatta and other materials. How then could the CBI claim to have to completed its probe?" he added. (sic)
