This Friday, October 19 is Shiamak Davar's birthday and the stage is set to make it a memorable one for him on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa – Dancing with the Stars. To begin with, there's a surprise item from his students of international ranking. There's also a surprise from one of Shiamak's most famous students, Shahid Kapur, who will be there to wish him in person and stay on to encourage the celebrity contestants too. Shahid whose film, 'Jab We Met' is soon to release, dances on the hit track 'Mauja Mauja' from the film. Stay tuned, there's a lot of excitement on Jhalak… this week.
It is Navratri and the flavor of the week is Indian folk and dandiya… So there's a lot of colour, folk songs set to resounding music, robust dancing and a lot more. Most of the contestants are performing folk songs based on popular Hindi film songs, while some are performing to international dance numbers (the other form in this episode) set to hit Hindi songs adding a new twist. The best part is that every contestant without exception will be seen performing their best so far. Sudha Chandran and her choreographer Umashankar have now set the standards for themselves and the others. It is a tough act for Ronit Roy and Nicole and Prachi and Deepak.
But watch out for these three couples who are working towards taking the competition to the next level. Jay Bhanushali with Bindi will make his fans proud and definitely win more fans after this performance. Mir Ranjan Negi and Marisha just seem to be enjoying what they do to the hilt and it shows in their performance too. Sonali Kulkarni seems to have finally found her groove and now seems to be going the Mona Singh way in this season under the tutelage of Toby. Funnyman Cyrus is bound to bring the house down with his best performance to date. Sandhya Mridul gives yet another mindblowing performance. Let's hope Jeetendra finds that missing "namak" in her performance this time. Even Mini Mathur has taken everybody by surprise! However, our Punjab da puttar is not too happy with the judges' comments and has categorically announced that his fans will surely help him win the title. But Mikaji, everybody loves a fighter and that's the spirit!
The judges' whole hearted praise for each and every contestant speaks for the caliber of performances this week. The competition has just begun and the battle lines are now drawn. Nobody wants to be leave the show… at least not without a fight.
Come be part of the song, dance, color and festive spirit on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa – Dancing with the Stars, this Friday, October, 19 at 9.00 p.m only on Sony Entertainment Television.
