In what stands among the largest property transactions of 2025 in Mumbai, veteran actor Jeetendra Kapoor’s family has sold a significant land parcel in Andheri to NTT Global Data Centers and Cloud Infrastructure India Pvt. Ltd. The deal, valued at Rs 855 crore, is expected to boost India’s digital infrastructure capacity.
The property, currently housing Balaji IT Park, comprises three commercial buildings and was sold through two entities linked to the Kapoor family—Pantheon Buildcon Pvt. Ltd. and Tusshar Infra Developers Pvt. Ltd. The total area of the land spans about 9,664.68 square metres, nearly 2.4 acres.
According to official documents accessed by Square Yards, the deal was concluded on May 29, 2025. The transaction involved a stamp duty of Rs 8.69 crore and a registration fee of Rs 30,000. Although Jeetendra has not publicly commented, the sale aligns with the evolving trend of film industry families exploring strategic real estate exits amid rising demand for data centres across urban India. NTT Global, previously known as Netmagic IT Services, aims to utilise the acquired site to expand its data centre network—an increasingly vital component in India’s digital growth.
Now 83, Jeetendra has distanced himself from the public spotlight, but his legacy continues through his children. Ektaa Kapoor, known for redefining Indian television, is currently working on a reboot of her hit series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Reports suggest that original leads Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay may return for a limited series run. Despite Irani’s political obligations, she is believed to have committed to the nostalgic revival. Meanwhile, Tusshar Kapoor was recently seen in the horror-comedy Kapkapiii, maintaining his foothold in the entertainment world.
The Andheri plot deal not only reflects the Kapoor family’s long-standing presence in Mumbai’s commercial landscape but also underscores the strategic value of real estate in the city’s tech-driven development. As more global data firms eye Indian metros for expansion, such high-profile sales could become increasingly common. This transaction serves as a reminder of the shifting priorities of Bollywood’s old guard—moving from entertainment to enterprise, with digital infrastructure now part of the narrative.
