Jay Soni clarifies rumors of 'Sasural Genda Phool 2' wrapping up

There have been an array of rumors that the much-talked about sequel, Sasural Genda Phool 2 is all set to call it a wrap. The show started airing December onwards and there have been rumors about the show going off-air for a while now.

However, it can now be confirmed that the show is not going off-air and instead will move to an earlier time slot. None other than, leading man Jay Soni confirmed the news as he said, "The show is definitely not wrapping up. But it has moved to an earlier time slot because the channel is getting another show in our time slot. I am happy with the way our show has connected with viewers and I could not have asked for more."

When Soni was asked to compare both the seasons, he said, "I don't feel the two seasons can be compared. When the first season was made, it was a different time period and a different script. It was also aired on a different channel. Currently, the second season has a good role for me and I like how the makers have treated the subject. Currently, my track involves action scenes and how I save Titli (Shagun Sharma) from some local goons."

He also added, "Regarding viewership and ratings, not much is in our hands. The show is doing well and I get good feedback from viewers. Ishaan, my character, is interesting and different from the first season."

The fans of the show can, as of now, feel relaxed that their show is not going off-air indeed.
