Several B-town stars are set to debut at the global event, and numerous Indian films are also part of the international lineup. Now, Janhvi Kapoor is preparing for her red carpet debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this year. Her film, Homebound, featuring Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, is among the Indian films selected. Before her global debut, the actress was seen at Mumbai airport, heading to Cannes for what is anticipated to be a significant career milestone.

A paparazzi video showed Janhvi Kapoor exiting her luxury car and entering the airport, ready to travel to the French Riviera. She chose a stylish, semi-formal travel outfit: a black high-neck top, tailored trousers, and chic heels. She finished the look with a burgundy jacket, dark sunglasses, and a high-end handbag.

Smiling brightly, the actress approached the Mumbai airport entrance. For her journey to the French Riviera, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's daughter chose a semi-formal outfit, ensuring comfort for her trip.

Before the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, Janhvi Kapoor shared her excitement about Homebound being selected for the Un Certain Regard category. The actress shared the news on social media, expressing excitement about Indian cinema's global presence and anticipation for the film's release.

Competing alongside Homebound in the Un Certain Regard category are Eleanor the Great, My Father’s Shadow, Pillion, and Urchin. The 78th Cannes Film Festival commenced on May 13 and is scheduled to end on May 24.

Regarding Homebound, Neeraj Ghaywan directs and writes the film. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, it features Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa. On May 18, Khatter arrived in Cannes, stylishly exploring the French streets.

Khatter posted several images on Instagram, showcasing his fashion model persona. The caption simply read, “Bonjour festival de Cannes.”
