On Thursday morning, Jacqueline Fernandez was witnessed arriving at Delhi's Patiala House Court. The court is scheduled to hear arguments on the actress's bail petition today. Previously, the trial court granted interim relief to the actress on a Rs 50,000 bail bond until November 10.
Since her name was mentioned in the Rs 200 crore money extortion case connected to alleged conman Sukesh Chandresekhar, Jacqueline Fernandez has been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate and the Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) numerous times.
Additionally, a number of private images of Jacqueline and Sukesh surfaced online. The actress was listed as a defendant in the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) chargesheet against conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar a few months ago.
The court heard a standard bail plea today. In its response opposing Jacqueline's normal bail request, the Enforcement Directorate said that she never cooperated with the inquiry and only disclosed the information when presented with evidence. Jacqueline was informed about Sukesh's criminal antecedents within 10 days of her introduction to him. She is no ordinary person but a Bollywood actress with huge financial resources and hence high stature and influence mentioned in the ED.
