Today, September 5th, the Birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India, is celebrated as Teacher's Day. A great philosopher, a true statesman, and a renowned scholar, Dr. Radhakrishnan epitomized all the qualities of head and heart which a teacher should have.  A good teacher is the one who you can inspire you and make you give your best always!  Someone who thro' thick and thin remains by your side and never loses trust and patience in you! A teacher is said to have equal importance in our life as God!

Siddharth Shukla:Naughty student or an obedient one in school: I was a highly mischievous student in school. I was always an outstanding student; I mean standing out of the class (laughs).

Importance of a Teacher in your life: Teachers are the most important ones after the parents. It is with teachers that the kids spend maximum time with after parents. They imbibe what the teacher teaches, and if you get applauded for whatever you are in life, then teachers get the credit for such a good upbringing.

Message you would like to give your teachers on this Teachers' Day: I want to tell my teachers that, even though I have always played pranks at you and you have made me stand outside the class room always, I love you all a lot and I am what I am today because of you all.

A Prank that you have played on a teacher: There was a teacher who was very strict. I used to get petrified on seeing him because the moment he used to enter, he used to ask for my homework book. Most of the time, I never used to do my homework, so I used to conveniently pack my bag, get down in between the benches, make way for myself in between the legs of my friends, place my bag and sleep there. But I got caught once and was again thrown out of the class. But in all this, I have learnt one lesson, 'Don't mess with Teachers'.

We celebrate Teachers' Day because: This day is so very special because they are the ones who are responsible for the upbringing of kids. We need to dedicate this day to such priceless teachers who have shaped our life and groomed us into better individuals.

Rati Pandey:Naughty student or an obedient one in school: I was very naughty, especially in my math and history classes, as I did not like the subjects as well as the teachers.(grins)

 Importance of a Teacher in your life: A Teacher is very much the 'Guru' who helps you learn a lot in life. They are the main factors after parents who convert you into a better individual.

Message you would like to give your teachers on this Teachers' Day: I would like to dedicate a message to one of my teachers, Mrs. Roy who used to teach us English. I don't know where she is now; she was the one who understood me and brought out the talent in me and allowed me to participate in cultural activities. It is just because of her initiative that I am here today in the television world.

A Prank that you have played on a teacher: Well, I was a pucca prankster (laughs). Once upon a time, there was this Hindi teacher who was a chashmish; we used to hate him like anything. He had this habit of wearing a white shirt always, and whenever he used to turn towards the board to write, we who were first benchers used to spray ink from our ink pen on his shirt. He used to crib like anything whenever he saw his shirt spoilt. I guess if we had 1 Minute Tide ki Shakti then, he would have surely used it (laughs loud).

We celebrate Teachers' Day because: I have lost all academic knowledge, I am literally'Paanchvi Fail' now!! (grins) But then yes, as we have birthdays and many other such days to celebrate, this is a day where we remember our teachers who have paved a way for our bright future.

Manav Gohil:Naughty student or an obedient one in school: I was very obedient but used to be a little naughty as well. 

Importance of a Teacher in your life: Until my college I used to feel teachers are there just to give pain but later on I realized that it's important to have a mentor and teacher in life. I believe that everyone is a student and we keep learning throughout our life. A mentor shows us the right path in life and that's the importance of teachers. 

Message you would like to give your teachers on this Teachers' Day: My favorite teacher was our physical training master. I believe that teachers have dedicated whole of their life to groom us up and we have to be thankful to them for the same. 

A Prank that you have played on a teacher: I have never been the initiator of pranks, but definitely been a part of it. We used to keep snuffs on wings of the fan and when it's switched on, everyone used to start sneezing. We have done this a lot in school days. 

We celebrate Teachers' Day because: Well, I don't know but to be I am not fond of these days. This narrows the vision of celebrating the relationship. We should be thankful to teachers all throughout our life and not remember them just for a day.

Shraddha Nigam:Naughty student or an obedient one in school: I was very obedient and never used to be part of any prank as well. 

Importance of a Teacher in your life: There is a lot of importance. If one of our favorite teachers tells something, we do accept even without thinking if it's positive or negative. They are our first idol and inculcate good principles into us. We remember their guidance and follow them as well. 

Message you would like to give your teachers on this Teachers' Day: My favorite teacher is my mother. She is not a teacher by profession, but she gives me company when I study by staying all night long. She always motivates me to do well. I will always be thankful to her. 

A Prank that you have played on a teacher: I used to feel for the pranks played on teachers. Once in school, ink pen was thrown from bank bench to front bench so the ink spills on the teacher and it did. One more incident happened where a boy kept Use bin on top of the door so when it is opened, it falls on the teacher.

We celebrate Teachers' Day because: No, I don't know. All that I remember is we used to distribute sweets and we were supposed to act as teachers (Laughs).

Indraneil Sengupta:Naughty student or an obedient one in school: I was very obedient and never used to be a troublesome boy. 

Importance of a Teacher in your life: After our parents, it's the teachers who play a very important part in our life. 50% of what the child is, is because of the teachers and they help molding the career of a child for many years. 

Message you would like to give your teachers on this Teachers' Day: My favorite teacher is Ms. Anjali Shah who happened to be my class teacher as well. She was the one who made me realize my potential as a student and taught me about human life. I lacked confidence in my school days and she was the one to always motivate me and groomed me up to face this competitive world. I will always be thankful to her. 

A Prank that you have played on a teacher: I have never been a naughty kid as a student. But ya, I used to be part of certain pranks like keeping snuff on the wings of fan. I never used to initiate any prank if it was played; I sometimes used to be a part of it. 

We celebrate Teachers' Day because: Its Radhakrishnan's birthday. I do remember having fun in school during teacher's day.

Panchi Bora:Naughty student or an obedient one in school: I used to be a prankster. But it depends upon the teachers. If they were fun loving, then I used to be very obedient, otherwise I was naughty (Laughs). 

Importance of a Teacher in your life: In school days, we have lot of interactions with teachers, but that reduces when we come to college. I used to bunk classes during college. There used to be a teacher who was liked by all, but as that subject was boring I never used to attend his classes. He once asked who I was. 

Message you would like to give your teachers on this Teachers' Day: My favorite teacher was my English teacher Ajanta Mam. She is very sweet and I always used to like her. I keep nodding my head in the class whenever I used to get lost and once just to test me, she taught everything wrong. Still I kept nodding my head and she asked me to always clarify with her if I get lost in class. It was a very embarrassing moment for me. I have learnt my life lessons from my religious guru. He has asked me to be positive always. 

A Prank that you have played on a teacher: I was a spoilt brat and used to take my sister's name to escape because she was the best student in school. Whenever I was called in principal's office, my sister Pooja used to get embarrassed. But I had to be obedient as we were in Army school and if I played any prank, the complaint would directly be reported to my father. So, I had to play safe (Laughs). 

We celebrate Teachers' Day because: (After thinking for a long time, she replies) I think its Radhakrishnan's birthday.
