Its CONFIRMED: This actor will be playing Kartik's father in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai!

Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will soon undergo major changes. With its lead actress Hina Khan bidding goodbye to the show, the makers will now shift focus to the new entry Parul Chauhan. Parul will be entering the show as Kartik's (Mohsin Khan) step mother.

When news of Kartik's family entering the show started doing the rounds, names like Sandeep Rajora and Shakti Anand were considered opposite Parul to play Kartik's father. However, none of them were finalized.

After much searching, the makers have locked down a very prominent name. The actor is a part of Colors' daily Swaragini. And he is none other than Sachin Tyagi.

Sachin is already seen essaying the role of a father to Swaragini leads Tejasswi and Helly. He will now be seen playing Kartik's father, Manish Goenka. And the duo will be seen sharing a very non-cordial relationship as Kartik holds his father responsible for his mother's death.

Akshara's death and the entry of Kartik's family will bring in a lot of twists and turns, opening up new story lines for the show.
