It is an irony that I am offered characters of a drunkard where I have never had a drop of it - Pearl V Puri

Music videos have become a new normal but rarely you would immerse yourself in a music video. One such is Pearl V Puri and Sanjeeda Shaikh’s recently released music video ‘Chaha Hai Tujhko.’ 

This song has a huge fan base, especially amongst the 90s kids and definitely be a go-to heartbreak song for the millennials as well. The recreation looks very promising. Thanks to Pearl V Puri’s and Sanjeeda Shaikh’s impactful performance. From being a lover boy to seeing her love departing from his life, Pearl made it look extremely natural like a veteran. 

Pearl’s character in the music video demanded him to be a drunkard in most of the scenes. The emotions were very well portrayed by Pearl. This is not the first time that Pearl has been offered a role of a drunkard.  He has previously too played a similar character for his last show, Bepanah Pyaarr.

The irony that Pearl states over here is that he has been offered roles of a drunkard where he has never consumed even a drop of it. But the talented actor is happy to see the faith that makers have kept in him. He also believes that as an artist, you need to pull off character’s what your director and script demands. 

In this exclusive conversation with us, Pearl V Puri shares his experience and how much he loved being a part of Chaha Hai Tujhko music video. He says, “I generally don’t do music videos, but I am doing this one because this is a very different and unlike music video. It is completely performance oriented and Performance is what I seek. As an artist, you are always up for many different roles and challenges. I am so happy to see how much people have loved me in this and appreciated for making it look so natural. Though, I have never consumed alcohol in my real life, I get to play that again.  I would also urge people to stay away from it as it is not good for health.”

Pearl concludes it by saying, “I hope the audience would give their maximum love and support for this music video. It was a wonderful experience shooting with this very professional team. Especially, Khaira Paaji who is a dear friend to me. I got to put my best foot forward and happy to hear some lovely responses from the fans.”

Chaha Hai Tujhko is a beautiful recreation sung by Sanjeev Rathod, and lyrics written by Sameer Anjaan.  Director Arvindr Khaira got the best of Pearl V Puri and Sanjeeda Shaikh in this music video which is out exclusively on Youtube.
