Is Salman Khan and Govinda returning with Partner 2? Here’s the latest update

Fans adored Salman Khan and Govinda's bond when they shared the screen in the 2007 movie, Partner. The film, helmed by David Dhawan, who often collaborates with Govinda, has achieved cult status over the years. Despite talks of a sequel, Partner 2 is still pending. Recently during a recent conversation with Pinkvilla Hindi Rush, Sunita Ahuja addressed whether we can hope for Salman Khan and Govinda to reunite in Partner 2.

“Partner 2 ka bohot maine bhi suna hi tha, par mujhe bhi nahi pata kya hua. Karenge toh acha hi hai, public ne pasand toh kiya hi tha dono ko (I had heard lots about Partner 2 but don’t know what happened about the project. It would be great if they did it. The audience liked them together)."

- Sunita Ahuja, (Govinda’s wife) said,

During the same interview, Sunita delved into the parallels drawn between Govinda and David Dhawan's son, Varun Dhawan. Being a pivotal figure in Govinda's life and career, she elucidated how her husband's work has profoundly impacted Varun over the years. “Jo aadmi bachpan se dekh dekh ke… uske dad (David Dhawan) ki 17-18 pictures ki hai Govinda ne. Toh naturally thoda toh aa jaaega na. Bachpan se chulbula bacha tha vo," she said. “Naturally, a little resemblance might be there," she added.

However, Sunita also shared her perplexity regarding the comparisons, mentioning, “Bolte hai, compare karte hai but kyun bolte hai mereko ye samajh me nahi aata hai. Usko bhi toh kharaab lagta hoga na k mujhey Salman se compare karte hai, Chi-Chi bhaiya se karte hai." She mentioned that these comparisons could unsettle Varun, as they might pose challenges for him, particularly when he is frequently likened to Salman Khan and her husband, Govinda, affectionately known as Chi-Chi bhaiya in the industry.

Salman Khan is gearing up for his upcoming movie, Sikandar. He recently had a cameo in Varun Dhawan's Baby John. On the other hand, Govinda has been away from the big screen for quite some time now.
