Is Rachi Sharma going to be a part of Kumkum Bhagya post leap? Actress reveals

Zee TV's show Kumkum Bhagya has been a fan favourite for years now. Initially starring Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha in the lead roles, the show took a generation leap a few years back, post which Krishna Kaul and Mugdha Chapekar were roped in to play the new leads of the show. The news of Kumkum Bhagya taking a generation leap has been doing rounds for quite some time now. While there have been various names out in the media, including that of Yesha Rughani, a recent report by Pinkvilla suggested that Durga aur Charu actress Rachi Sharma has been finalised by the makers of the show to play the new lead. 

India Forums got in touch with the actress to confirm the same and the actress said, ''Yes, I have been approached for the show and no, nothing is confirmed as of now. I am still in talks with the show's makers, and things are nascent. So I cannot say anything as of now.''

Rachi was last seen essaying the character of Durga in Colors TV's show Durga aur Charu. However, the show did not do very well and was pulled down after a few months of its run.
