Is Mouni Roy out from Sanjay Gupta's Miranda Boys?

It was announced a few months ago that Mouni Roy, Harshvardhan Rane, and Meezan Jaaferi will feature in a soccer movie directed by Sanjay Gupta. The recent buzz on the project is that, while Meezan and Harshvardhan will remain to star in the football project 'Miranda Boys,' the filmmaker isn't enthused with the choice of starring lady Mouni Roy.

As per the latest reports, the director is unsure about casting Mouni Roy alongside Harshvardhan Rane in the project. Though the director approached Mouni and contracted her for the project at first, the producers are now looking for another actress playing opposite Rane. Gupta's team has failed to get Mouni on board, and she hasn't even been notified that they are looking for a successor. The reason behind the filmmaker's change of mind is unclear.

When it comes to the movie 'Miranda Boys,' it is centered on a sports narrative. It will be fascinating to witness Harshvardhan and Meezan in a sporting persona, which has yet to be explored. While Meezan Jaaferi is a member of the All Stars Football Club, Harshvardhan Rane has only lately taken up the sport. Every day, he practices with his coach. For both Sanjay Gupta as a director and both actors, the genre is radically different. The movie will begin shooting in Goa in mid-March. Sanjay Gupta has been a name associated with films like Kaabil, Shootout at Wadala, Jazbaa, and many others.

Mouni Roy was recently in the headlines because of her wedding with long-time beau and entrepreneur Suraj Nambiar. The couple got married in Goa with close friends and family members in attendance.
