Is Jannat and Awarapan Re-Release Happening? Here’s What Mukesh Bhatt Says

Recently, reports suggested that Jannat (2008) and Awarapan (2007), both starring Emraan Hashmi, might be next in line for re-release. While Jannat was a box office success, Awarapan gained cult status over time. The soulful music of both films remains unforgettable. However, producer Mukesh Bhatt has now addressed these speculations. Speaking exclusively to News18 Showsha, Mukesh Bhatt laughed off the rumors but acknowledged the interest in these films.

The producer admitted that the massive success of Sanam Teri Kasam has sparked this discussion. He added, “There is no confirmation yet. I have been receiving many inquiries about Jannat and Awarapan because their music was a huge hit, just like Sanam Teri Kasam. Right now, nothing is decided, but we will explore our options.”

Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi recently shared his thoughts on Awarapan's growing popularity. He said, “It wasn’t a big success in 2007, but today, it’s my most loved film. Over 20 years, it has gained immense respect. This shows that films can find success over time.” For now, fans will have to wait and see if these beloved Emraan Hashmi films make their way back to cinemas.
