Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare Celebrate First Wedding Anniversary with Goofy Pictures

Ira Khan, daughter of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, marked her first wedding anniversary with fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare by sharing candid pictures on Instagram. The couple tied the knot on January 3, 2024, in a two-part ceremony—a registered marriage in Mumbai, followed by Christian rituals in Udaipur.

Sharing a series of photos, Ira captioned her post, “Happy Anniversary, my love (red heart emojis).” The pictures showcased their playful bond. In one frame, the duo sat on a balcony, smiling at each other. Another captured Ira kissing Nupur while he made a funny face. A third image showed Nupur snuggling next to Ira, while in another, they posed back-to-back. The final shot had both making exaggerated angry faces at each other.

For the anniversary post, Nupur donned a black kurta-pyjama paired with a yellow jacket, while Ira wore a printed grey saree.

Ira and Nupur’s wedding festivities were star-studded. Bollywood luminaries, including Saira Banu, Dharmendra, Rekha, Jaya Bachchan, Hema Malini, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Sushmita Sen, Katrina Kaif, and Esha Deol, graced the grand reception in Mumbai. Aamir Khan, along with his first wife Reena Dutta, son Junaid Khan, daughter Ira, nephew Imran Khan, sister Nikhat Khan, and son Azad Rao Khan, posed for family photos. However, Aamir’s ex-wife Kiran Rao was notably absent due to ill health.

Ira and Nupur first met during the Covid-19 lockdown when Nupur was training Aamir Khan. They got engaged in November 2023, hosting a celebration attended by close friends and family.
