The era of digitization has pretty much arrived, and there can hardly be an instance, where you wouldn't find anyone without their cell phone, watching something or the other. Reduced data rates and better connectivity have truly led the digital world to boom like no one else.

These days, we have a barrage of applications and streaming platforms to choose from.

However, if you are a daily internet user, the only streaming applications you would know are Hotstar, Netflix, Amazon and ALT Balaji among a few more.

And as we talk about Hotstar, the app has now created history as we talk about viewership.

Yes! That's right. The application went on to garner over 5.5 million concurrent viewers due to IPL 2018.

This also makes it the largest event broadcast and Hotstar, the largest even broadcaster ever.
