The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has stepped up its investigation into the India's Got Talent controversy, taking a statement from social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija, known as The Rebel Kid, on Tuesday, February 25. The Cyber Cell's focus on gathering information from key figures like Apoorva suggests a broader approach to understanding the controversy's extent.

The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has summoned over 30 individuals in connection with the India's Got Talent controversy, intensifying its investigation. Social media influencers Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer Allahbadia, who had previously expressed their willingness to cooperate, voluntarily appeared before the cyber cell on Monday, February 24, to record their statements. Both influencers arrived at the Maharashtra Cyber Cell Headquarters in Navi Mumbai to provide their perspectives on the ongoing controversy.

The controversy surrounding India's Got Talent continues to unfold, with comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina, who hosted the show, yet to be questioned by authorities. The investigation was sparked by an FIR filed against several individuals, including Makhija, Ashish Chanchlani, Ranveer Allahbadia, and Samay Raina, for allegedly promoting obscenity and engaging in sexually explicit discussions during the show. The backlash intensified after a viral clip featuring Ranveer Allahbadia making an offensive remark during a segment, where he posed a controversial question to a contestant. This incident sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many users condemning Allahbadia's inappropriate remarks and accusing the creators of normalizing obscene content.

In the wake of the public outcry, Ranveer Allahbadia issued an apology on his X account, acknowledging that his comments were inappropriate and lacked humor. In a video message, he stated, "Comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry," assuring his followers that he would be more mindful of his influence on younger audiences in the future.

Meanwhile, comedian Jaspreet Singh faced online backlash for his comment "Kerala sir...", which upset many Keralites.
