'Indian Idol 1 gave me my career': Rahul Vaidya shares unseen picture from show as it clocks 20 years

Rahul Vaidya, currently seen in Colors TV's 'Laughter Chefs 2,' won hearts with his performance in Indian Idol 1. As the show clocks 20 years today, the actor took to his Instagram handle to share a picture of him from the show.

Taking to his social media account, Rahul, sharing this picture reminsces about how he was merely 17 years old during his stint on the show and attributes his career and his success today to the show. The singer further states that everyone associated with the show have been doing really well and that the show will always remain special to him.

Rahul writes, ''20 years to this show which gave me my career! Indian Idol 1 got over on this date in 2005.. I was 17 years old then! So many people who have been associated with this TV wonder whether its the contestants, judges, channel team, hosts, fremantle, team,production team, technical crew ,music team, contestant managers and many others also who i may be missing all doing so well in life and have reached at beautiful places .. i know what INDIAN IDOL1 means to a whole generation .. it’s a feeling! HUM RAHE YA NA RAHE KAL, KAL, YAAD AYENGE YE PAL.''

As soon as the singer shared these pictures on his social media handle, his wife Disha commented on the post, saying, ''I remember this cute guy from Indian Idol.''

For the uninformed, that season of Indian Idol was won by Abhijeet Sawant, who then went ahead to be a sensation post his song 'Mohabbatein lutaunga' released.
