In remembrance of Sridevi, Family and Friends attend Puja in Chennai

While the late actress Sridevi's first death anniversary is falling on February 24th, 2019, her family, including her producer-husband Boney Kapoor, daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor and brother-in-law Anil Kapoor, attend a puja in her remembrance on Thursday in Chennai.

A close source reveals, "The puja took place on Thursday morning at her Mylapore bungalow among close friends and relatives."

Also present were South superstars Rajnikant, Ajith (with who Boney is making a film in Tamil), Politician Amar Singh, yesteryear superstar Vijayanthimala, Actress Raveena Tandon, Indonesian TV Magnate Ram Punjabi, filmmakers Rajkumar Santoshi, Rumi Jaffrey, R Balki, and Gouri Shinde.

Sridevi, Bollywood's first female superstar, died at the age of 54 on February 24, 2018, leaving the film industry, family and fans aghast.

The actress began her acting career with a devotional film Thunaivan when she was merely 4 and had worked across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi movies. She even received the National Award and Padma Shri for her contribution to the country's art and cinema.
