Imlie's Zohaib Siddique approached to REPLACE Krushal Ahuja in Jhanak

Star Plus’ Jhanak is heading for a 20 year leap, post which, the viewers of the show will see a completely new story line. This news was exclusively brought by India Forums to our ardent readers.

We had also informed about Krushal Ahuja, Hiba Nawab and Chandni Sharma calling it quits post the leap. While Krushal and Chandni exclusively confirmed the same to us, Hiba has chosen to remain tight lipped.

Well, our well placed sources close to the show now inform us that actor Zohaib Siddique, best known for his stint in Star Plus’ Imlie has been approached to replace Krushal in the show. “Zohaib has been approached to be the new lead of Jhanak and things are almost confirmed, 80 percent toh confirmed hi hai,” says our source in an exclusive chat with us.

While we are yet to receive an official confirmation on the same, there were earlier reports about Zain Imam, Rohit Chandel and Sehban Azim being in contention to essay the male lead of the show.

India Forums had earlier exclusively informed about Shiny Doshi being approached to replace Hiba Nawab in the show. The actress, confirming the same had told us that she had rejected the show because she did not want to be a part of show which was taking ‘leap.’

'I am not taking it up and I have refused because I do not want to be a part of a show which is heading for a leap and then a new story is launched. I rather wait for something fresh to come my way,'' Shiny said in an exclusive chat with us.

For those who do not know, Jhanak sees Hiba Nawab, Krushal Ahuja and Chandni Sharma in the titular roles. The show started off pretty well initially but has been registering disappointingly low TRPs for the past many months. Given its regressive story line and a lack of anything fresh in the story, reports also suggested that the show has been under the scanner for a while. Earlier, both Hiba and Krushal were also set to be replaced from the show, however, owing to the ongoing IPL season, the leap was postponed and both the actors were eventually retained.
