IIT students want a stay on Hrithik Roshan's Super 30; But why?

Hrithik Roshan has had his share of troubles in the recent past. Apart from his personal life becoming a topic of discussion, his professional life suffered a lot too. Now with a movie in line, Hrithik seemed all enthusiastic when the teaser of Super 30 was released. Gathering praises from all nooks and corners of the country, Super 30 seems to have irked 4 IIT students.

And it's creating some added drama in the release. As per the reports of Mid-Day, these IIT students believe that the teaser of Super 30 is sending out a wrong message about Anand Kumar, the mathematician on whose life this movie is base. 

The report said that a while back, Guwahati High Court had asked Anand Kumar via a notice to respond to a PIL filed by students, Avinash Baro, Bikash Das, Monjit Doley and Dhaniram Taw of IIT Guwahati against him. However, Anand Kumar failed to reply to the notice and now the students are seeking a stay on the movie.

As per Mid-Day, Amit Goyal, legal counsel of the 4 students mentioned that the facts in the teaser were enough to send out a wrong message in the public and that Anand Kumar is being celebrated as a hero. It said,“(The film) seems inauthentic. We never sought to damage the film, but [Kumar] has a court case against him. His reply (to the PIL) doesn't (address) the allegations completely.” 

Well, the glorification of the mathematician did not go well with the students and they want the names of the students who got selected from his batch in 2018, to be revealed. The four IIT students believe that Anand Kumar’s claims of getting students into IITs were false and that they were acting as a catalyst to get more students to enlist in his Super 30 batch. However, when any student wanted admission in the batch, he was redirected to take admission in Ramanujan School of Mathematics (Kumar's Institute)  where an exorbitant fee of Rs 33,000 was charged.
