Shehzada Dhami, who has taken on the role of Armaan Poddar in the beloved Star Plus show, "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai," has been delivering a stellar performance. Despite his commendable efforts, a faction of the show's audience has been consistently expressing disdain for the new cast.
Addressing this criticism in an exclusive conversation with India Forums, Shehzada posed a poignant question to the viewers of "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai." When queried about the audience's reluctance in accepting the new characters, Shehzada expressed, ''I've been wanting to address this question in an interview. I'd like to tell the audience that we work incredibly hard, sometimes for 12 hours, sometimes for 16 hours, and there are instances when we don't even get proper sleep. You all showered immense love on the first three generations of the show, and I believe it's fair. Your affection for them is absolutely justified. However, if we were chosen for this show, if we were considered qualified enough to carry the legacy forward, then I'd like to ask the audience, why the hatred towards us? When we came to Mumbai or entered this industry, we had dreams. This opportunity is significant for us, and we are putting in our best efforts to entertain the audience. It's not just about money for actors; it's about receiving love from the audience. We genuinely want our audience to love us too. I would say, please continue to love the older generations as you have, but also give us space. If you don't like us, at least don't hate on us. We are working diligently to give our best and entertain our audience. We are striving hard, and if we can reach even 70 percent of what Harshad and Pranali have done, we will be extremely grateful.''
