'I would love to anchor shows'- Shakti Anand

After the long running Sony show Ek Ladki Anjaani Si was taken off the air, there have been speculations galore about the star couple Shakti Anand and Sai Deodhar regarding their next course of action.

The show which took the star couple’s popularity to newer levels had its own twists and turns which were equally dramatic. For example the channel decision to show the door to the leading lady of the show--- Kanchi Koul, who was later replaced by Sai Deodhar.The show was the second coming together of Shakti and Sai after their sizzling act together in Star Plus’s Saara Aakash, the show that bought them together in real life too.

Now, that Ek Ladki has been taken off air, Shakti and Sai are making the most of the available time. Speaking to India Forums exclusively, Shakti says, “We are having a great time traveling. Infact, we just returned from Delhi after spending a week there and the next destination is Australia where we plan to have loads of fun. We will be leaving in some days and will come back by the end of this month.”

Ask him about his next television assignment, Shakti is quick to answer, “I have been receiving offers ever since Ek Ladki was plugged off and some of them have been from the leading production houses. But, we are planning to finish our traveling before returning to work. I have not finalized any project nor has Sai given any commitment to new projects.”

The best part is that Shakti is keen to try his hand at anchoring shows than doing the dailies. He further adds, “I would love to anchor shows as that will be something which I haven’t attempted before. I would also love to be part of dailies and films as well, provided they have an interesting narrative.”

Well, seems the star couple has big plans post their sabbatical and we hope they come together again to keep the screen sizzled.
