I was really happy: Manushi Chhillar on Prithviraj's early release

Manushi Chhillar will shortly make her cinematic debut opposite Akshay Kumar in Prithviraj. And well, she is overjoyed to be making her film debut, and she is even more pleased that the release date has been bumped up a week sooner than initially intended. For the uninitiated, Prithviraj was originally scheduled to release on June 10th, but was pushed back a week.

The period drama will now release worldwide on June 3, 2022, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Speaking about  the same, Manushi said, 

"I was really happy when I heard that the film was getting preponed. It’s been quite the wait for the entire team of the film and when you hear that the movie is coming earlier than usual, you do feel a sense of joy because all of us have been waiting for the moment when the incredible life story of Samrat Prithviraj will be unveiled on the big screen."  

Prithviraj is Yash Raj Films' first historical, based on the life and heroism of the valiant and strong King Prithviraj Chauhan. Akshay Kumar will play the heroic warrior who battled bravely against the cruel invader Muhammad of Ghor. Manushi has been cast as Prithviraj's loving Princess Sanyogita, alongside Akshay.

Prithviraj is being directed by Padma Shri Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who directed the biggest television epic Chanakya – based on the life and times of the most influential political strategist of India and the multiple award-winning movie Pinjar.
