I was not even allowed to audition for positive roles: Ankita Khare on playing a positive role in GHKKPM

Actress Ankita Khare has been a part of various television shows. From Vighnaharta Ganesha to Nath Zewar Ya Zanjeer, the actress only played negative roles and it's for the first time she is seen playing a positive character in Star Plus's popular show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Recently, in a tete-tete with us, Ankita recalls that she wasn't even allowed to give auditions for positive roles because many people in the industry thought she could only do negative roles.

Talking about the same, Ankita says,"I was really happy when I got to know about playing a positive character because that was a chance for me to prove my acting skills in a positive zone. I don't want to name anyone, but there are a lot of people in the industry who used to think that I was not made for positive roles. I remember that I wasn't even allowed to audition for positive roles. They used to say, 'You have such sharp and big eyes that even your simple look seems negative.' It was pretty disgusting and hurtful for me."

However, Ankita, who is seen playing the character of Harini in the show, is thrilled about exploring a character which lies in a positive zone. She says, "As an actor, I don't want myself to be boxed in a particular zone of character forever. I want to experiment and play characters which are different from each other. I am happy that I got an opportunity to play a character who is full of positivity."

Professionally, Ankita is known for her stint in many projects, including 'Men Will Be Men'. She has also acted in shows like Jodha Akbar, Vighnaharta Ganesha, Santoshi Maa Sunayein Vrat Kathayein season 2, Nath Zewar Ya Zanjeer, Ajab saas ki gajab bahu and Life ka Recharge.
