Priyani Vani, the singer from Indore has a reason to smile as she has now made it to the Champions team in Star Plus’ Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar. “I never expected that I would make it so soon to the Champions Team”, quips Priyani. Ask her about the experience so far in the reality show and Priyani says, “I am improving episode by episode and I have more confidence in myself now when compared to the VOI days. I am happy that the channel is lenient enough in allowing me to select my songs. I am not worrying about results; I just want to perform without any tension whatsoever”.

I want to prove to all that I am a versatile singer - Priyani Vani
The format change in the reality show has really come as a breath of fresh air for the Champions. “But we are really upset that this change has come after we lost a great singer like Aishwarya”, sighs Priyani. The theme for this week in Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar is ‘Maa’ and Priyani feels that there will be some mind-blowing singing from all the participants. “I have chosen the very emotional number ‘Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai’ for this week and am sure of delivering a good performance yet again. The judges are impressed with the variety that I have been showing in my songs and I want to prove to one and all that I am a versatile singer”, states Priyani.

Talking of the impartial decision that Rahul Vaidya took when he voted for Priyani rather than his close friend Vineet Singh, Priyani says, “I felt Vineet had a better chance of making it to the Champions side. But when my name was announced, I was thrilled. I have lot more respect for Rahul now, as he took a very impartial decision and felt that I sang better than Vineet and deserved the vote”.

The singer feels that the toughest competitors are the ones who have the capability to improve and better their previous performance. “Harshit and Abhijeet Sawant have it in them to excel every time and according to me, they are toughest names to beat”, confides the singer before she signs off.
