I think I am done speaking about it: Samantha Ruth Prabhu on divorce with Naga Chaitanya

South actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been receiving a lot of hearts and appreciation for her role in 'The Family Man 2'. 

A news portal caught up with the actress at the My Glamm Filmfare OTT Awards 2021, where she spoke her heart out about her OTT innings, parting ways with Naga Chaitanya, being trolled on social media and much more

The actress was showered with love for her portrayal of the fierce and independent Rajji in ‘The Family Man 2’. Reacting to the praises she says, 

“It was liberating. Women actors don't often get access to such roles, to explore different dimensions of a woman's personality. It was extremely liberating to not be a damsel in distress but be the one kicking ass.”

Samantha was subjected to a lot of criticism with regards to her role and ethnic representation but later she have won raves after the release of the show, but when the first trailers and teasers for The Family Man 2’ had come out. 

Speaking about the flak she received, Prabhu says, 

“Whatever happened was before the release. People assumed things, they made assumptions. But when the series was released, we got a lot of appreciation and praise unanimously. I think the trick was to stay patient and wait for the product to come out.”

Also Samantha made it to headlines after her divorce. A lot has been spoken about her divorce from Naga Chaitanya. 

It's been a development that has shocked fans and movie buffs the world over. Talking about the various speculations and the unwarranted attention to her personal life, she says, 

“I think I am done speaking about it. It was important to speak about it and I have addressed it but I don't think it is necessary to keep on repeating that, again and again.”

She focused on having a busy and fruitful 2022 and she adds, 

“I have to work really hard. I have been very fortunate to get amazing characters to play and be able to do justice to them. I just hope and pray that I continue to do justice to the roles that are being offered to me.”

Samantha, on the work front, has been busy signing new ventures, and will soon be working on two multilingual projects, of which one is titled 'Yashodha'. 

Samantha promises that she will shut up her critics only with her hard work, nothing else.
