'I might miss my date but not my gym' - Mrunal Jain

Mrunal Jain recently bagged his third show on Imagine with Looteri Dulhan. The actor has been versatile in choosing his roles. After starting his career playing Krishn in Ekta Kapoor's Mahaabharat, Mrunal played the interesting role of Hiten in Bandini where he got the chance of portraying a middleaged character too. And now he is seen as the dutiful husband Abhinav who can do anything for his wife.

Here is Mrunal in a candid interview with TellyBuzz where he talks of his journey..
Tell us about your story of getting into acting?
Acting was something totally undecided for me. It happened accidentally. I was in the textile business with my dad, and it was then that they wanted me to take part in Gladrags 2007.  I cleared all rounds and came into the top 21. My dad said leave this textile stuff, you are good for acting so do that and that is how I got into acting.
                            

How is it working for Imagine for so long?
I have worked in Mahaabhaarat, Bandini and Looteri Dulhan. And it is a great association we have had.

You were Ekta Kapoor's discovery. Tell us about your experience of working with her?
It was an amazing experience. I feel lucky to work with one of the biggest production houses.

Why did you choose Looteri Dulhan over completing the hat trick with Ekta Kapoor who offered you a show on Colors?
As the role was different, I opted for Looteri Dulhan.

Tell us something about your nature?
I am very short tempered. I am straight forward. I love to be myself and I can't see anything wrong happening to anyone.
                                                  

Your passion is?
Cars… I love cars..If not an actor, I wud definitely be an automobile engineer.

What is the philosophy of your life?
Think good and all good will happen to you. Be positive and get rid of the negatives that are around.
                    
You are a strict Jain and dont even eat aloo pyaz. Then how do you survive?
I have survived for 25 years now, and I  am sure I can still survive.                          

Are you a fitness freak?
I am a hardcore Gym freak. I feel horrible if I dont workout even on one single day. I might miss my date but not my gym.

We heard you are learning dance too?    
I knew everything other than dancing, so thought I should learn it too.

Who are your favorite dancers?                 
Remo DSouza and Salman of Dance India Dance.

We heard you are very religious..Tell us about the rituals you follow. What do you have to say about the power of prayer?
Prayers have a lot of power. Whenever I am happy or sad, prayers have always worked for me. I feel good… I am a believer of Jainism and I visit the Siddhivinayak temple once a week always….

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
If my luck works then I will do more roles and I am sure that I will get good roles because of the hard work that I put into my work.
