The auspicious festival of Mahashivratri, which also marks the wedding day of Lord Shiva and Parvati, people across the nation, observe a fast and seek blessings from Lord Shiva. While our actors are caught up with their work, some religiously follow the festival and ensure to visit Lord Shiva's temple to seek blessings for their well being.
One such follower of Shiva is Ssharad Malhotra, seen as Pratap in Sony TV's Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap, whose day starts by offering prayers to him.
When quizzed Sharad regarding the festival, he says, "My day starts by offering prayers to Lord Shiva and I like visiting the temple on this special occasion. This year, I was invited as a Guest of Honor at the Maha Shivratri event that was being held at one of the prime centers of Brahmakumari in Mumbai."
"I don't do anything special but I take his name and think of him. My fond memories include visiting Shiva's temple and bathing the idol with milk. His story inspires me, God is important in everyone's life and so in my life," adds Ssharad.
Very rightly said Ssharad!
