'I DONT know him': Hiba Nawab on speaking to Shoaib Ibrahim about his entry in Jhanak

Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja starrer Jhanak has been under the scanner for quite some time now. While the story line of the show has constantly faced criticism from the viewers, the show has also lost viewership due to the same and as a result of this, the ratings of the show have seen a constant downfall. News of Jhanak taking a leap was doing rounds a few weeks ago, this was also confirmed by the actors of the show later. However, the makers then decided to postpone the leap and later cancelled it altogether.

Speaking about the same to Telly Masala, Hiba Nawab, the titular face of Jhanak expressed her excitement about the same and said, ''Yeah, even I got the news that the leap got cancelled or postponed, even I do not know yet. But yes, I will be able to entertain you guys again now, so I am happy.''

After the news of the show taking a leap started doing rounds, it was reported that Shoaib Ibrahim has been approached to essay the new lead of the show and the actor had also auditioned for the same. When Hiba was asked about Shoaib's entry in Jhanak and was asked if she spoke to him, the actress stated that she does not know Shoaib. ''I know of him but I don't know him toh meri koi baat toh bilkul bhi nahi hui un se because I don't know him,'' Hiba says.

For the uninformed, Hiba is paired opposite Krushal Ahuja in Jhanak. The show also sees Chandni Sharma as the negative lead. After weeks of being out of the top 5 race, this week, the show has finally entered the top 5 race, however, the ratings of the show see no improvement.
