High Drama on Indian Idol; Veto power gets used!

Sony's Indian Idol has never been bereft of drama, however, this week they have shot up their own standards for dramatic effect!

The show's highlight was that celebrities Ajay Devgn and Kangana Ranaut graced the stage. Kangana even did a mini-fashion walk with Salim Merchant as Bhoomi sang Marjawa, a song from the soundtrack of Fashion.Shivam performed on Aye dil hai mushkil, Rakesh sang Shola hai ya hai bijuria, Bhoomi sang Khallas, Swaroop sang Sapne mein milti hai and Sreeram sang Pee loon.

As the show progressed Rakesh and Swaroop landed in the bottom two positions out of which Rakesh got eliminated. However, the judges felt strongly about Rakesh and used their veto power to save him. So that closed this week's episode without any elimination. How sweet is that?!

For the uninitiated, Anu Malik, during the start of this season of Indian Idol, had a huge tiff with the channel people over the issue of veto power to the judges. He felt good talent got wasted away due to junta's votes. Eventually the channel people budged and granted veto power to the judges.

Looks like Anu Malik's efforts have finally paid off!
