A dejected Madhur Bhandarkar, award-winning director of films such as Page 3Fashion and the more recent Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, is said to have gone into hiding after suffering a huge blow to his next project.

Having already shot 15 days with Aishwarya Rai for Heroine, the news of her much celebrated pregnancy has left a huge hole in his plans as well as his pockets.

It has been heard that Aish is prepared to complete the shoot, despite being five months pregnant. However, for a movie where the main lead has to smoke, dance, run around and participate in other activities that are highly inappropriate for a woman in such a delicate condition, Madhur thought the right route of action was to shelve his dream project. Besides, even if the shoot was completed, Aish would not have been available for the promotional work.

In order for the movie, a special set has been erected, lavish Manish Malhotra costumes have been ordered amongst other production costs. Whilst Rs. 3 Crores may have already gone down the drain, Madhur and UTV stand to loose as much as Rs. 25 Crores overall!

Has Aish betrayed Madhur? Did he make the right call? Let us know your thoughts!
