'Hero No. 1': Disha Patani steps into 'Hero No 1' alongside Tiger Shroff after Sara Ali Khan opts out

Bollywood's dynamic duo, Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff, are set to reunite on the silver screen in a much-anticipated film titled 'Hero No 1.' The announcement was confirmed by filmmaker Jagan Shakti, who shared insights about the casting shuffle. Initially, Sara Ali Khan was chosen for the role, but due to scheduling conflicts, Disha Patani has stepped in to take the lead.

Jagan Shakti, in response to the reports of Disha replacing Sara, explained, "Disha is the fittest and apt to do action. Sara was definitely a part of it, but unfortunately, we couldn't match the date." 

'Hero No 1' is set to be a two-heroine film and will feature Pashmina Roshan as Tiger Shroff's love interest. Pashmina Roshan, the cousin of Hrithik Roshan, is poised to make her mark in Bollywood with this project. The film, produced by Jackky Bhagnani's production house, is not a remake or sequel to the 1997 Govinda-starrer of the same name. It is a standalone venture that promises to bring a fresh perspective to the screen.

According to reports, the shoot for 'Hero No 1' is scheduled to commence in London in January 2024. Tiger Shroff has already filmed an action sequence, with Sara Ali Khan and Pashmina Roshan joining the production next year. Tiger's collaboration with Jackky Bhagnani's production house marks his third film in the three-film deal he signed, following 'Ganapath' and 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.'

Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff, who previously shared the screen in 'Baaghi 2,' have been a subject of relationship rumors for some time. However, they have never officially confirmed their romantic involvement. Disha is currently rumored to be dating her close friend, Aleksander Alex Ilic.

On the professional front, Tiger Shroff's last film, 'Ganapath: A Hero Is Born,' did not meet box office expectations. Meanwhile, Disha Patani has a promising lineup, including her role in 'Yodha,' where she stars alongside Sidharth Malhotra. Additionally, she will feature in Nag Ashwin's ambitious project, 'Kalki 2989 AD,' sharing the screen with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan.
