Here’s Krystle’s reply on replacing Mouni Roy in Mehrunisa!

Television’s czarina Ekta Kapoor is churning out a lot of new shows, both on television and web, and one of her ambitious projects is said to be Mehrunisa. It’s been two years since the project has been making headlines, but unfortunately hasn’t started yet. The project was supposed to be a web series. As per several reports, Mouni Roy was the first choice for the role. However, soon the buzz around the show died and the project never saw the light of the day. 

Now, as per some recent reports, Krystle D’souza is said to be replacing Mouni Roy as Mehrunisa. Krystle D’souza is strongly rumoured to be playing the part, but when we called the actress to confirm the news, she told us that she’s busy and by the time we could confirm the story, she hung up the call. 

For the uninitiated, Mehrunisa was based on the life of Mughal Emperor Jehangir’s wife Mehrunisa or famously known as Noor Jahan. When the news of Mouni Roy playing lead in the series was rife, the actress also posted about it on social media and workshops were also said to be held for the same. Unfortunately, the series got shelved at the time. 

Now as Krystle is busy, we could not get any confirmation on the news and we will wait for the exact information on the story.
