#HBDEktaKapoor: The Soap Queen turns 43 today!

Soap Queen Ekta Kapoor turns 43 years old today. And at 43, Ekta has achieved heights that no other producer of her age has managed to accomplish. Initially into producing only television shows, the daughter of Jeetendra and Shobhaa Kapoor, eventually branched out into producing Bollywood films as well.

Ekta's illustrious career in television includes soap operas like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Pavitra Rishta, Bade Acche Lagte Hai and most recently Jodha Akbar, Kumkum Bhagya and the hit Naagin franchise Naagin and Naagin 2.

Ekta ventured into B-Town with her first production Kyo Kii... Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta and went on to produce films like Krishna Cottage, Shootout at Lokhandwala and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai.
