Six years after parting ways following the release of their movie "Vaaranam Aayiram", southern composer Harris Jayaraj and filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon, have reunited for an upcoming yet-untitled Tamil project featuring Ajith Kumar.

"It is official. Director Gautham Vasudev Menon and music director Harris Jayaraj have confirmed their reunion. The magical alliance which had created many musical melodies in the past had reserved their reunion for this project with Ajith kumar," read a statement from the film's production house Sri Satya Sai Movies.

"Harris started composing tunes for the film Tuesday," the statement added.

The film, which was recently launched, is expected to go on floors. The hunt for the rest of the cast is underway.

Harris and Gautham have worked together since the latter's directorial debut "Minnale" in 2001. Since then, they have worked in films such as "Kaakha Kaakha" and "Pachaikili Muthucharama.
