'Guddan' actor Rashmi Gupta to play one of the leads in 'Balika Vadhu 2'

It is no secret as to the kind of legacy that Balika Vadhu has left on Indian television so far. Launched as one of the first shows on a freshly launched Colors channel back in 2008, the show went on to become one of the longest running shows of all time and even garnered immense love.

With a trend going on currently about second seasons of multiple iconic shows, it seems Balika Vadhu is also jumping in this bandwagon. The new season has been in works for a while and will be having a new cast and will be related to the original theme of the show.

While, there have been a lot of talks as to who will be a new lead, one of the first names to have seemingly for finalised is actor Rashmi Gupta. Gupta has been on the tube for a long time now and made a huge impact with her role in Zee TV's Guddan: Tumse Na Ho Payega. 

There isn't much of a confirmation as to what and how the show will progress but it will indeed be happening soon.
