After bouncing back from his gunshot wound, Bollywood star Govinda is gearing up to return to television with the second season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. He will be joined by Shakti Kapoor and Chunky Panday.
The teaser assures a fun-filled night for the audience, offering a sneak peek into what's in store for the episode. In his chat on the show, Govinda spilled the beans on Shilpa Shetty's response to his recent gunshot incident.
Govinda revealed that when Shilpa Shetty visited him in the hospital, she inquired, "The actor said, “Kapil, when Shilpa came around to visit me, she first asked, ‘Chi Chi! How did you get hurt? Where was Sunita?'.” Govinda informed her that Sunita was at a temple. Shilpa humorously asked, "Toh goli kisne maari (then who shot you)?" This witty remark had everyone, from host Kapil Sharma to Archana Puran Singh, bursting into laughter.
For those unaware, the Bollywood actor grabbed headlines in October for accidentally shooting himself in the left leg with a loaded revolver. Subsequently, he had to undergo surgery. It was reported that he was cleaning the revolver and placing it in the cupboard before heading for a shoot. Unfortunately, the revolver slipped from his hand, resulting in the bullet hitting his leg.
For those unfamiliar, Govinda and Shilpa Shetty have collaborated in numerous Hindi films. They were one of the most beloved pairs of the 90s. Some of their movies include Aag, Pardesi Babu, Chhote Sarkar, Hathkaadi, etc.
Govinda's stint on Kapil Sharma's show, The Great Indian Kapil Show 2, holds extra significance as it signifies his reunion with his nephew Krushna Abhishek.
