Gauahar Khan Turns Into A Punjabi Kudi!

Gauahar Khan, who was last seen in films like Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009) and Ishaqzaade (2012) alongside Punjabi mundas like Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, has now signed a Punjabi film opposite singer-actor Jassi Gill. When asked to confirm the news, an ecstatic Gauahar said, "I am excited about having signed my first Punjabi film, which is a romantic comedy."

However, it is when she was asked how she intends to work on the Punjabi Dialect for the film, she said, "Jassi is my tutor and has been teaching me certain chaste Punjabi words. Having had Punjabi friends, I am familiar with the language, but I have to work on the fluency. In fact, we shot a song recently and everyone in the unit was shocked that I could lip sync so well," she says. The actor will soon start shooting for the film in Chandigarh, Punjab.

Gauahar, who has done diverse projects across different mediums, feels one shouldn't limit from trying different things, she adds, "I take pride in the fact that people think I fit in all kinds of cinema and mediums. I am happy to expand my wings as and where the best opportunity takes me."
