Four directors have already changed so far: Omkar Das

Actor Omkar Das Manikpuri, popularly known for his role of 'Natha' in the movie 'Peepli Live' made his television debut with &TV's 'Santoshi Maa' recently lost his temper and stormed out of the set.

Omkar, who is portraying the character of Ratan Rajput's uncle on the show is very calm and composed person by nature. But coming from a theatre and film background, the actor is not used to the working style of the television, which irritated him compelling him to walk out from the set.

We contacted Omkar who told us. "Yes I was irritated. I am doing television for the first time and I don't know how it works, plus I am not even that good with the english language. They gave me the script and without even giving me the time to prepare, they called me on the set. I couldn't even read the script. I don't know how this works; Four directors have already changed so far and every new director has his own working style.

While I was giving my shot, someone kept interrupting and the shot didn't come out well as I got distracted. I felt a little insulted... like they were making fun of me. That irritated me and I walked out of the set. This is not something that I will take! I also have my own self respect. If they keep insulting me like this, I will rethink about continuing the show."
