Fine performances by Richa, Akshay, Aamir and Amit with good execution make Inside Edge 3 a must watch

Created by Karan Anshuman and directed by Kanishk Varma, Inside Edge 3 is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. After a not so impressive 2nd season for some, the third season sure lives up to its name.

In Inside Edge 3, We see rivalries continuing to crop while the Roy Commission is investigating match fixing allegations on Vayu and Rohit from PPL team Mumbai Mavericks. On the other hand, we have Bhaisaab and Vikrant continuing to bring each other down in the name of power. Major revelations comes through, and lastly, there is Bhaisaab's daughter Mantra, trying to legalise betting in the country.

Performances

Vivek Oberoi is not your regular Bollywood villain and in fact, you see a visible improvement in his character graph. Aamir Bashir, Akshay Oberoi, Richa Chadha, and Amit Sial are the true blue heroes of the show this season as they manage to get their performances on point every single time. They hold the scenes together and that truly elevates the watching performance.

Actors who also fare well include Tanuj Virwani, Sayani Gupta, and Manu Rishi Chadha, each adding their own different layers to the story as it moves forward. You do wish for Renuka Shahane as the PM to have a better character arc and more on her plate, but even with whenever we see her, she does interest us. 

The Good

There are a bunch of twists and turns, each that manage to keep you hooked throughout the series. The writers have done a great job at getting those right. For a major part of the series, you love how nicely the show has been executed, especially all things crickets. And as has already been displayed in what has been written above, the performances in the third season are only as good as one would like for them to be. With something constantly happening on the screens, you know there's always more to watch out for next and it is amazing. 

The Not So Good

There isn't a lot to dislike about the series and that in itself is a feat. However, with a bunch of actors, you also have the responsibility to make sure that the characters receive their due recognition. However, despite 10 episodes, not all characters are given enough importance and screen time.

Verdict

Inside Edge 3 is just as good as one would want it to be. It has managed to keep up the legacy of what it started and what it has done for the OTT space in the country in the first place. If you love cricket and have been an ardent follower of the series, it is definitely for you.
