Finally getting to play a negative character, Prerna Sharma opens up on the opportunity

Actor Prerna Sharma may be a relatively unknown and fresh face on the small screen but the actor has already made quite a mark by starring in multiple shows and playing multiple roles in the form of Chandra Nandini, Dev and Arjun among others.

The actor is now set to embark upon a new chapter altogether and this one is indeed very interesting as well as challenging for her. Known for and having played so many positive characters so far, Sharma will now be seen playing a negative role in the soon-to-be-launched show, Sindoor Ki Keemat.

This is indeed her first negative character and she went on to talk about it in an interview with ETimes TV as she said, “I have only played positive characters so far. This is my first negative character on TV. Everyone has seen me in just one shade, a typical rone-dhone wali ladki in all my previous shows. So, I am happy about trying something new. To be honest, it’s not easy to change expressions at the drop of a hat in front of the camera. One moment I am crying and the very next, I have to be mean. As an artiste, I am really excited about playing a character I hadn’t before. I am grateful to my producer Gul Khan for trusting me with this part.”'

She added, “The story of the show revolves around two girls and I am the negative parallel lead. It will be shown as a positive character in the beginning, which will eventually turn negative. It's challenging, but a strong character.”

Sindoor Ki Keemat stars Shehzad Sheikh as the male lead and will be airing on Dangal TV.
